Karlsson lab members in Very Important Zoom meeting, with backgrounds of their favorite places, real and imagined

Ah, 2020! Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Perhaps a summer’s day of solitary picnics with naught but the angry buzz of murder-hornets for company? Yes, that kind of day. And, you know, lots of them.

How’re you doing? Hanging in there? Good.

For the Karlsson Lab, 2020 has been a year full of adventurous travel to the distant corners of our home offices, courageously spanning the breadth of the internet in search of fabled zoom backgrounds to keep the void at bay. Also, science! Whether directed at SARS-CoV-2 or not, the science never stopped. Thankfully, it turns out that we cannot be apart without also being a part, and we are certainly not alone. Technology and excellent people ensured that 2020 was not only endured, but was also productive, and not entirely sad. We hope it was the same for you.

In this holiday season, we wish you good tidings, together in spirit, with warmest wishes for a better 2021.
